Analysis of productivity

This thesis deals with the productivity of enterprise, the possibilities of its measurement and increasing productivity through the total productive maintenance. The theoretical part firstly focuses on the measuring total productivity in homogeneous and heterogeneous production and calculation of partial productivities of each production factor. Secondly, it deals with the concept of a total productive maintenance as one of the possible approaches to increasing productivity. In the practical part the analysis of productivity for the years 2004 to 2010 is made and evaluated the use of approaches and tools of total productive maintenance in specific enterprise.

This bachelor thesis is dealing with productivity and the analysis of productivity. I divided work into two units, the theoretical one that is about instruments and indicators used in the analysis of productivity and about possible ways of increasing productivity, and the practical part, where I made analysis by applying the theoretical apparatus. I chose an engineering company SB INMART a.s. with its age-old history in manufacturing. I made analysis for the period of years from 2007 to 2010.

The possibility of increasing productivity and improving business processes using methods and tools of industrial engineering and systems implementation of lean manufacturing

This diploma thesis concerns the possibility of increasing productivity and improving business processes using methods and tools of industrial engineering and systems implementation of lean manufacturing in the company Schwan-STABILO ČR, s.r.o. The concept of lean production is known from the 50 of the last century and was first applied to the Japanese automaker Toyota, which due to its production system (Toyota Production System) was able to produce faster, cheaper and above all to a higher standard than its Western competitors. The main objective of this thesis is an analysis of the current state of the process and drafting of the required state of the process so that waste can be eliminated and productivity increased. With the implementation of lean methods and tools of production has been achieved the following improvements: - reduce the number of operators from the current 9 to shift to 5 operators in the shift, - increase the overall efficiency of facilities by more than 10 %, - reduction of machines from an average of 83 minutes to 22 minutes, - reducing the continuous production period of 59 days (74,14 days that for 15 days), - decreasing of the stock material, semi finished products and finished products from 404 790 pieces to 82 350 pieces.

Productivity and its metering

My essay is about productivity and its metering. I distributed it into three parts. In the first part I describe theoretic apparatus. The second part contains calculations of total and partial productivity and year-on-year confrontation. Analysis was made for 6 years, it means from 2003 to 2008. In the last part, there I define possibilities, how we can escalate productivity. I wanted to show you very specific production for pharmaceutical and food-processing industry, for which Pharming a.s. produces.

Diplomová práce s názvem Analýza efektivnosti výroby společnosti TM ELITEX s.r.o. je rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí. První část se zabývá popisem teoretického aparátu k provedení analýzy efektivnosti výroby s využitím Montgomeryho indexů a praktickou aplikací těchto indexů na data společnosti TM ELITEX s.r.o. Jejím cílem je zjištění parciálních produktivit spolu s celkovou produktivitou podniku a jejich změn a určení vlivu změn produktivity a dalších vlivů na změnu ekonomické přidané hodnoty. Druhá část práce popisuje metody, techniky a přístupy zvyšování produktivity a jejich současné i možné budoucí využití ve společnosti TM ELITEX s.r.o.
